Enrichment sessions, à la carte

Our teachers partner with each family to co-design an enrichment learning program, in any subjects and levels—live online over Zoom, 1-to-1 and in small groups, as well as asynchronously. Schedule sessions at any time of day: early morning, school hours, after school, or on weekends.

Some students enroll part-time to enrich or reinforce what they’re learning at school, while others seek to broaden their horizons and explore new interests. Some join to reignite a love of learning that may have been lost.

For those who join to supplement a homeschool program, we collaborate closely with each family to craft student-centered learning activities and projects, catering to the student’s unique goals and gifts. We can take any approach to learning outcomes, empowering a family to choose what works—whether a focus on state or national standards, or a radically student-centered unschooling approach. Most choose a middle path: standards alignment, yet driven by student choice and optimized for engagement.

Tutoring & academic coaching

Many gifted and 2e learners need more support to thrive. Our tutoring and academic coaching sessions provide targeted 1-to-1 support for learners in grades 3 -12. Our teachers can tutor in any course they teach, from Algebra 1 to Honors French 4, and everything in between.

Some students enroll in tutoring to catch up, while others want to get ahead. Some learn with the same tutor year-after-year, while others schedule with a variety of tutors. With 1-to-1 attention and genuine care, we tutor and mentor students as they overcome challenges, build confidence, and eclipse their goals.

Communication after every session

Eclipse Academy teachers communicate home after every session, highlighting the session’s focus and activities, as well as any successes, challenges, and homework or independent practice.

We encourage an ongoing correspondence between school and home, so that everyone is on the same page, every step of the way.

Executive functioning & social-emotional learning

Eclipse Academy offers optional wrap-around services designed especially for our students and their families—from executive-functioning coaching to counseling with licensed family therapists.

Among our students we foster a growth mindset, self-awareness, social-emotional vocabulary, non-violent communication, and healthy accountability. With a holistic approach to the academic, social, and emotional dimensions of giftedness and twice-exceptionalism, our students thrive.
